Tennet uses 100 Tesla car batteries as buffer

Dutch grid operator Tennet relies on batteries from 100 Tesla cars to stabilise its grid, bizz energy has learnt. The company determines how fast or slow batteries of these vehicles get charged.

In return, Tennet pays unspecified fees to the owners. The pilot project runs until summer, also Dutch eco-electricity company Vandebron is involved.
