No money for EV advertising

A new analysis has shown that six of the biggest car manufacturers in the USA, namely General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Volkswagen and Fiat Chrysler, are still spending next to nothing on the promotion of their electric and hybrid vehicles.

Call it cynical, but that does make it look suspiciously like these car manufacturers really don’t want to bother selling new energy vehicles, instead relying on the tried and proven “don’t rock the boat” method. Tesla has managed to mobilise their customers in a very impressive manner, but we do not see the same levels of engagement from their rivals in the more established corners of the automobile industry.

At least we can rely on customers growing interest in e-mobility and governments forcing automobile manufacturers to take up a share of responsibility for the environmental impact they make.
