Every year the Swedish Folksam insurance publishes a study with the statistically safest cars in the country. Tesla did not qualify for the list this year as its cars were only involved in seven accidents – too few for a valid risk analysis, according to the insurance company.

While the cars were not included in the risk calculation, the organization does endorse Tesla’s vehicles as one of their recommended cars. To note, Tesla has published their own vehicle safety report, which shows one accident per 2.19 million miles driven, and, an impressive 3.27 million miles of safe driving on autopilot.
