The offer means that customers are granted access to a British Gas Dual Fuel Tariff, while Vauxhall credits the customer’s account for the free miles of charging over a period of three years. The company says that this would be the equivalent of fuel costs for the combustion engine Corsa 1.2 with 100 PS of £2,900 at current petrol prices.

Also included in the offer is a free six-month subscription to the Polar charging network with over 7,000 charging points across the UK. The electric car was launched in continental Europe in June last year. The technical details were released beforehand, while later last year, the German sister brand announced new charging details for the fully-electric car.

Last month Vauxhall reduced prices and added a new trim for the fully-electric Corsa-e. After this price drop, the Corsa-e is now available in SE Nav Premium trim from £26,640 after the UK’s £3000 plug-in car grant.

Update 14 August 2021

Vauxhall is extending its offer of a free home charger and 30,000 free green miles of electricity in partnership with British Gas. Originally the offer was only available on the Corsa-e, but has now been extended to also cover the fully electric Mokka-e, Combo-e Life and Vivaro-e Life. The tariff is fixed price until 31st August 2024 and includes an off-peak rate with lower-priced electricity between 12:00 am and 05:00 am.

“Our partnership with British Gas has motivated many to make the switch to an electric vehicle, and has helped ensure the all-electric Corsa-e is one of the UK’s most popular new electric cars,” said Paul Willcox, Managing Director, Vauxhall, adding: “We’re very happy to announce that our offer of 30,000 free miles of electricity has now been extended to a number of other Vauxhall models, including the new Mokka-e as well as the Combo-e Life and Vivaro-e Life, making the switch to an electric vehicle even more appealing. By 2028, Vauxhall will offer a fully electric variant across its entire model range.”
