Opel issues global recall for the Corsa
Opel is recalling 16,605 units of its Corsa small car worldwide due to a software error, causing prescribed compliance test bench measurements with the exhaust emission regulations to not be able to be carried out. Curiously, the recall also affects the all-electric variant of the Corsa.

Italian postal services order 1,744 Corsa-e from Opel
Opel has received a major order for electric cars from the Italian postal service. The Rome-based postal and logistics operator has ordered 1,744 Opel Corsa-e vehicles. The first of the ordered Opel electric cars are to be delivered to Poste Italiane before the end of this year.

Opel expands battery centre to cover eCMP models
Opel has upgraded its battery centre at its headquarters in Rüsselsheim. In addition to the Ampera and Ampera-e, the batteries of all Opel models on the eCMP platform (currently the Corsa-e and Mokka-e) and Combo-e, Vivaro-e and Zafira-e Life are now tested and, if necessary, repaired there.

In the UK, Vauxhall is offering new Corsa-e customers a free Home Charging Unit and 30,000 miles of free electricity in partnership with British Gas. The offer only runs from 8 December 2020 till 11 January 2021.

Major fleet order for Vauxhall
Opel’s sister brand Vauxhall booked another large order for electric vehicles. After British Gas had ordered 1,000 Vivaro-e in July, Vauxhall now reports an order from Openreach, one of the UK’s largest fleet operators, for 270 Vivaro-e and nine Corsa-e.

UK: Peugeot officially announces 208 pricing

Grandland X and Corsa-e UK pricing revealed

Peugeot starts accepting orders for the e-208
The new Peugeot 208 and its all-electric version e-208 can now be ordered from all dealers and branches of the brand in Germany. For the e-208, Peugeot is calling for an entry-level price of 30,450 euros. Deliveries are scheduled to start at the end of this year.
