While Elon Musk criticised Bitcoin for not ensuring renewable energy production for its operations, Tesla itself is now reportedly using hundreds of diesel generators to set up production at the future Giga Berlin plant in Grünheide, Germany.

According to information from Automobilwoche, Tesla failed to ensure the site was not connected to the region’s main power supply. Thousands of litres of diesel and heating oil are consumed weekly for the temporary facilities, which are expected to run at least until late autumn. (in German)
