USA: Domino’s further invests in EV fleet

Domino’s Pizza announced that it has 800 Chevy Bolt on the road at select locations in the US. And the pizza chain has ordered another 300 EVs.

The company placed an order for 800 Chevy Bold back in November. And according to a company statement, all of these are on the ground, running deliveries. Domino’s claims that it is the US’s largest electric pizza delivery fleet.

“All 800 vehicles are on the road, delivering at various stores across the country. We are even more thrilled to announce that number is growing,” says Joe Jordan, Domino’s president of US and global services.

Because franchises continue to be interested in electric delivery fleets, the US pizza chain has “ordered an additional 300-plus cars”, which will be delivered and in service by the end of the year. According to Jordan, the stores benefit significantly from the EV, for example, by lowing their maintenance costs and emissions.

“In addition to business and environmental benefits, an electric delivery fleet also helps with hiring drivers, as they open up a whole new pool of job candidates who may not have their own vehicles,” the manager adds.
