In the USA, Lucid Motors has once again lowered the prices for the Air. The Air Pure RWD now starts from 69,900 dollars (minus 7,500 dollars for the subsidy bonus), the Air Touring from 77,900 dollars (minus 8,000 dollars) and the Air Grand Touring from 109,900 (minus 1,000 dollars).

The 430 HP dollar Air Pure RWD features a driving range of up to 410 miles. In its press release, Lucid mentions the additional motor for the Air Touring variant, which pushes the performance up to 620 HP and the price up to the aforementioned 77,900 dollars. Finally, the range is topped by the 819 Air Grand Touring variant, which is capable of a 516-mile range, but also features the largest price jump of the range. The model variant’s acceleration times from 0 to 60 mph ranges from 4.5 seconds on the Pure model to 3.0 seconds on the Grand Touring.

Fast charging a range worth 200 miles on a 350 kW DC fast charger ranges from 17 minutes to 15, and finally to 12 minutes for the priciest model.

“We are optimistic about the future of EVs and believe strongly that increased adoption is a necessary path towards reducing the impact of climate change,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO at Lucid. “We have worked tirelessly to enable the Lucid Air lineup to deliver unsurpassed range and performance from less energy, and so I’m delighted that today we are able to share this benefit with our customers.”

At the same time, the US electric car manufacturer Lucid Motors is expanding its offers in European markets and is now also launching the new basic version of its electric luxury sedan Air on the German market.

Available in the USA since October 2023, the Lucid Air Pure RWD with an output of up to 325 kW and a WLTP range of up to 747 kilometres is now available in Germany from €85,000. The previously offered Air Pure AWD has been cancelled. Lucid also offers the Air Touring (from 99,000 euros) and Air Grand Touring (from 129,000 euros) as further variants in Germany. In the third quarter of 2024, the top-of-the-range Air Sapphire version will also be launched on the German market at prices starting at 250,000 euros.
