Gareth Dunsmore, currently Director of Marketing & Sales Transformation AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania), has been appointed as the new Managing Director e-Micro Mobility AMIEO. In his new role, he will focus on driving demand for all-electric micromobility within Nissan’s dealer network, according to the company. Nissan wants to ensure a ‘world-class customer experience around smart and flexible vehicle purchase and ownership solutions’.

Dunsmore has worked in sales and marketing at Nissan for 21 years. According to his employer, he has held various strategic positions during this time, including Director Electric Vehicle & Zero Emission Strategy and Vice President Brand & Customer Experience. In his new role, he will report to Leon Dorssers, Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales AMIEO

The appointment follows the recently announced sales partnership with micromobility brand Silence. Within this partnership, Nissan is responsible for the distribution of the Silence model range in Europe. The four-wheeled Nanocar Silence S04 and the two-wheeled electric scooters will initially be available from Nissan partner dealerships in France and Italy in June, followed by an expansion to the German market in September.
