With the latest expansion, the charging solution is now available to UTA customers in 15 countries. UTA eCharge enables charging in the public UTA network with over 925,000 charging points in 28 countries, including around 300 truck-compatible charging stations, including those in the Milence fast-charging network.

Compared to its competitor, DKV Mobility, which invested in electric mobility very early on and recently reached the milestone of one million charging points, UTA Endred was late to launch a charging service. UTA eCharge was initially only available in Germany and Austria, but since the beginning of the year, it has been expanded to include the Benelux countries, France, Italy, Spain and Poland, before the Scandinavian countries, Switzerland and the UK were added. Even though the company got off to a late start, the expansion to 925,000 charging points then happened very quickly.

Both electric cars and vans and trucks can be charged using the UTA eCard or the UTA eCharge app. UTA eCharge is designed to cover all charging scenarios. This means not only public charging, but also charging stations on company premises and at the homes of company car drivers, including automatic billing.

For public charging, the company also promotes the feature that the current mileage of the vehicle at the time of charging is automatically recorded during each charging process and indicated on the next invoice. Once the vehicle is linked to the UTA eCharge app, manual entry of the mileage is no longer necessary. Regular comparison of mileage and the amount of electricity charged helps to detect irregularities and fraudulent activities and facilitates the valuation of vehicles.

“With this latest expansion of UTA eCharge, we’re helping even more customers transition to sustainable mobility, regardless of the number of vehicles and vehicle classes they have,” says Pierre Jalady, General Manager of Edenred Mobility EMEA and CEO of UTA Edenred.
