Wrightbus has announced a strategic partnership with Kazenmaier Leasing to support cities, municipalities, and transport operators in Germany as they transition to zero-emission public transport. The agreement will see Kazenmaier offer bespoke full-service leasing solutions for selected Wrightbus hydrogen and battery-electric models, integrating federal and state-level subsidies directly into the leasing structure.

Kazenmaier will initially include two Wrightbus models in its portfolio: the 12-metre GB Kite Hydroliner hydrogen bus, and compact 6- and 9-metre battery-electric buses for shuttle services, rural operations, and inner-city routes. The company will also offer comprehensive support, from vehicle delivery and registration to maintenance, tyre management, and insurance packages.

A key focus of the programme is enabling access to government subsidies. Kazenmaier will manage the entire subsidy process and integrate the grants into the leasing calculations, reducing administrative effort and improving financial transparency for operators.

Wrightbus CEO Jean-Marc Gales said the collaboration with Kazenmaier would strengthen the company’s position in the German market. “Wrightbus has a compelling offering for the German market, and we already have fleets of hydrogen and electric buses in operation,” he said. “Now we have added further value by partnering with Kazenmaier to ensure operators can take advantage of competitive leasing solutions to help them make the switch to zero-emission technology.”

The partnership builds on Wrightbus’s growing presence in Germany, where it already supplies hydrogen and battery-electric buses to operators including Saarbahn, Cottbusverkehr, Regionalverkehr Köln, and Vestische Straßenbahnen. The company also operates a service facility in Brühl, near Cologne.
