Hyundai brand Genesis launches in France
Genesis is launching in France—just as it recently did in Italy—with the GV60, the brand’s first fully battery-electric model. Additionally, the French market will see the launch of the battery-electric flagship SUV Electrified GV70 and the battery-electric luxury saloon Electrified G80. Unlike in Germany, Genesis will not offer any internal combustion engine vehicles in France or Italy, at least for the time being.
Genesis has established its European headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from where it is directing its expansion across the continent. Peter Kronschnabl, Head of Europe at Genesis, said: “We have made a long-term commitment to growing our presence in Europe. This spring, the first two Genesis retail locations in France are set to open in Paris and Lille, with further sites planned throughout the year. By the end of 2028, a comprehensive service network is expected to be established across the country.
Charles Fuster, Brand Director of Genesis France, added: “The arrival of Genesis in France is the perfect opportunity to introduce customers to a new concept of premium experience. Following its launches in Italy and France, Genesis’s expansion under the Hyundai umbrella is far from over: the brand plans to enter Spain and the Netherlands later this year.
