DKV Mobility expands charging offer in Italy and Switzerland

Fuel and charging card provider DKV Mobility is expanding its international offering. The company now also provides its charging solutions for home (@home) and the workplace (@work) in Switzerland and Italy. Previously, it only provided public charging (@road) in either country.

Last summer, DKV Mobility reached the milestone of one million charging points in its network. Since then, the number has grown to around 1.2 million public charging points accessible via the DKV Mobility charging card or app. DKV Mobility refers to these public charging points as @road. It is important to note: DKV Mobility does not serve private customers but exclusively supports corporate fleets.

However, this is not the main focus here. Instead, the expansion of DKV Mobility’s non-public charging offering takes centre stage. The company distinguishes between charging solutions for home (@home) and the workplace (@work). These solutions were previously available in Germany, Austria, France, and the Benelux countries—and Italy and Switzerland have now been added. This expansion is particularly relevant for companies with local sites and employees in these countries, while business travellers from Germany, for example, could already use DKV’s public charging (@road) options there.

DKV Manager Sven Mehringer states: “What matters to our customers is that charging works wherever their vehicles are – on the road, at home, or at the workplace. By bringing @home and @work to Switzerland and Italy, we are closing an important gap in these markets and offering fleet operators a fully comprehensive charging solution from a single source. This is a consistent step forward in our e-mobility growth strategy.”

According to DKV Mobility, this expansion responds to the growing demand from European fleet operators for integrated charging solutions that cover all relevant use cases. Company car drivers will now be able to charge conveniently at home in Switzerland and Italy, whether using charging stations ordered through DKV Mobility and its partners or via existing, compatible hardware integrated into the DKV Mobility system. At company sites, the @work depot solutions enable the charging of electric cars and commercial electric vehicles. Billing is automated across all user groups, including employees, business partners, and guests.
