Slide over.
Who thinks that today’s children are little couch potatoes getting their kicks in the virtual world?! Well, Razor’s Crazy Cart is here to change that. Its electrically powered front tyre can rotate 180° in both directions and thus open up a whole new world of crazy drifting, especially as there are no brakes.

CleanMan.
Rumour has it that the next Batmobile will be a hybrid. As with the previous movie cars, Warner Bros. strives to have a fully functioning vehicle to use at promotion events. A hybrid would surely be handy as it could cleanly and silently drive on the red carpet. And after all, Batman is one of the good guys!

A car full of coins.
A Chinese man made employees of a car dealership spend their whole morning counting pennies with which he wanted to purchase a new vehicle for 16,000 dollars. After 50,000 yuans (8,000 dollars) his nerves got the better of him and he paid the rest by card. However, he had about 5 tons of coins in his car outside – no wonder he needed a new one with this overload.

Pimp my ride.
Surely, it always depends on how you look at things but this owner of an old Volvo estate surely is a spin doctor. His video uses marketing tools usually reserved for only the newest, most expensive and overall best cars, only that he is praising his old Volvo. One of his numerous unique selling points are actually four doorhandles, one of them broken. Buy my car!

Power comes at a price.
This video shows an old Lada easily overtaking a Porsche 911. While the speed and dedication is truly impressive, the sound of whatever it is that powers the Lada roars rather unpleasantly. Maybe the Porsche driver wanted to be taken over and be left in peace and quiet?!

Wasteful flights.
British Airways plans to offer cross-continental flights powered by trash. The airline has partnered with American Solena Fuels to make an annual 50,000 tons of jet fuel by “gasifying” garbage. If all goes to plan (not waste) London to NYC flights could be waste-fuelled by 2017.

BMW in a box.
It probably took the Hungarian police a while to unravel what was in front of their eyes when stopping a VW transporter from Romania. Inside, a stolen BMW X6 had been dismantled and literally stuffed inside the van. What a reduction of residual value!

Chinese researchers are working on the Super-Maglev – a magnetic train that can travel up to 3,000 kph inside a vacuum tube. So far, researchers have built a 6-meter diameter model of the Chinese Hyperloop, which reaches a dizzying top speed of 48 kph. But hey, Elon Musk only has some manuals!

Size matters.
Especially if you try to perform a 3-way turn with your car in the cargo space of the new Ford Transit transporter. If you make it a 14-ish-way turn and use world’s smallest car – as seen in this video – you might actually succeed. Why all this, you ask? Because you can!

All-wheel dive.
Taking a gas-guzzling SUV off-road is certainly closest to its intended purpose. But taking it off the road and into a canal like in this video, its quite a different story. It is not known how this could happen, but luckily nobody was injured. And this way, another SUV has been taken off our city roads.

Researchers from the Swiss Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) together with PSA Peugeot Citroen have developed an on-board emotion detector. It is designed to distinguish only two emotions of a driver: anger and disgust as these could indicate road rage. So next time, give your best smile to the camera – while pushing the pedal or pressing the horn.

GoCycle dealer Ben Jaconelli was devastated when his stylish electric folder got stolen in London. However, he received a call at his e-bike store only a few days later by someone asking how to actually charge the GoCycle. But instead of delivering a new charger, Jaconelli paid the thief’s house a visit, where he only met the mother. An hour later, the GoCycle was sent back in a cab.

Flatulent fallacy.
Elio Motors has come up with a rather unusual comparison to measure the low environmental impact of its three-wheeler. According to the company, its trike could drive 20,000 miles and would still emit less carbon dioxide than a cow burping and farting for a whole year.

High-occupancy vehicle.
A highway patrol cop recently pulled over a Tesla Model S for speeding. The all star cast of Elon Musk himself, Rebecca Hall and Johnny Depp with Paul Bettany on his lap would normally let anyone forget about the fine and hop in instead. The officer however, resisted the glamour and insisted on the law. In this case, not even a HOV sticker is helping.

Fast charging farce.
The Scottish Highlands Council has just spent 82,000 pounds (137,500 dollars) on four charging stations. While the intentions were certainly good – who would want to be stranded in an EV in hilly and chilly Highlands – the outcome is less than ideal as the four stations are only capable of delivering 7 kW AC. The Council now promised to stock up on rapid chargers soon, aye!
