The EU Council and Parliament have reached a provisional political agreement on new CO2 standards for trucks and buses in the European Union. The agreed values correspond to the Commission's proposals. That means truck emissions must be reduced by 90 per cent by 2040, while city buses must be 100 per cent electric by then.
