Prices for the Mokka Electric start from £36,610, with the new Long Range variant available for an extra £1,000 across each trim level. Prices max out at £42,295 for the ‘Ultimate’ trim. There are three variants available: the basic ‘Design’, with the ‘GS’ variant in the middle and the range-topping ‘Ultimate’. All variants are available with both the regular 50 kWh battery, as well as the 54 kWh Long Range version.

According to Vauxhall, the ‘GS’ version “adds a number of sporty design enhancements to the Mokka Electric, including 18-inch bi-colour alloy wheels with red accents, dark tinted rear windows, a black roof and headliner, a black Griffin logo and Vizor frame and unique red detailing.” Additionally, comfort features, such as a heated steering wheel and seat heaters are included. The top ‘Ultimate’ version is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels and includes “a generous suite of driver assistance features,” as well as comfort features such as keyless entry and start and a massage function for the driver’s seat.

The energy usage of the Long Range Mokka has been improved to 4.1 miles per kWh, allowing for a 20 per cent range improvement to 252 miles, according to WLTP. Acceleration from 0-62 mph can be done in 9 seconds, and the vehicle achieves a top speed of 93 mph.

In terms of charging specifications, the Mokka Electric Long Range supports 100kW DC rapid charging, and can charge from a 20%-80% SoC in about 27 minutes. A three-phase 11kW AC onboard charger is included as standard, which is capable of enabling a 20-80% charge in 3 hours 10 minutes from an 11kW public charger, or 4 hours 40 minutes from a 7kW home wallbox charging station.

The timing for a new range-topping version is interesting, as Vauxhall had introduced a new entry-level variant for the Astra and Mokka Electric in early October last year. One year prior to that, Vauxhall had also announced a range improvement for the Mokka Electric in December 2022.
