Li-Cycle announces two new recycling plants
The Canadian battery recycling company Li-Cycle has announced its first factory outside North America, in Norway. What is more, the company is building another recycling factory in North America in cooperation with GM’s Ultium Cells. The plant will be Li-Cycle largest facility to date.
Li-Cycle and LG enter into recycling and nickel agreement
The Canadian battery recycler Li-Cycle has concluded a still non-binding memorandum of understanding with South Korea’s LG Chem and its battery division LG Energy Solution for the supply of scrap from battery production and complete lithium-ion batteries for recycling as well as for the purchase of nickel.
NFI & Li-Cycle to cooperate on battery recycling
In North America, bus manufacturer NFI Group and recycling company Li-Cycle are cooperating to offer battery recycling to public transport customers there. The partnership builds on a successful pilot e-bus battery recycling programme between NFI subsidiary New Flyer and Li-Cycle.

The Canadian battery recycling company Li-Cycle has raised a 100 million US dollar investment from Koch Strategic Platforms (KSP). The fresh capital is meant to support Li-Cycle’s growth ambitions in North America, Europe and Asia.
Li-Cycle to recycle batteries for Helbiz
The Canadian recycling company Li-Cycle and the Italian-American micromobility provider Helbiz announce their intention to jointly develop recycling solutions for spent lithium-ion batteries from e-scooters and e-bikes. The collaboration is expected to result in a recycling cooperation.
