Tier Mobility is planning a new scooter sharing service
Tier Mobility has acquired the approximately 5,000 electric scooters including the charging infrastructure of the discontinued sharing service Coup from Bosch. The electric scooters are initially to be launched in Berlin from May onwards. Further cities are also planned.

Bosch discontinues Coup scooter sharing
Bosch’s electric scooter sharing service Coup has announced that it will discontinue its service in the German Berlin and Tübingen by mid-December 2019. The Paris and Madrid locations are also to be closed at short notice.

Coup e-scooter sharing adds prepaid minute-packages
Bosch’s e-scooter sharing service Coup is now offering prepaid by-the-minute packages without a minimum rental period in Berlin, Paris and Madrid as a new alternative. Users can choose between three different packages with 100, 200 or 500 minutes each.

Coup boosts big city fleets by 500 electric scooters each
For the incoming start of the 2019 electric scooter season, the German sharing provider Coup is opening the service to more users. Also, a total of 1,500 additional electric scooters will be on the roads in Berlin, Paris and Madrid – a 40 % boost from before.

Coup in Spain – Bosch electric scooters to hit Madrid
Bosch’s electric scooter sharing Coup is coming to Spain this summer, when Madrid will witness the launch of the Gogoro scooters. For Bosch it is the third European capital where the firm deploys the electric two-wheelers and the fleet is to grow to 3,500 LEVs this year.

1,000 e-scooter fleet in Berlin: COUP is Bosch’s subsidiary responsible for electric scooter sharing in the German capital that started with 200 two-wheelers last year. Now, the service is to about to expand with 800 more e-scooter that shall be ready by April and become available in more districts. Berlin will see an entire electric scooter swarm this summer it seems as local Emmy (formerly eMio) had also announced to grow its fleet recently.

Royal Navy drives Nissan EVs: 48 Nissan e-NV200 electric vans have arrived at Portsmouth Naval Base, where they will serve the Royal Navy’s transport operations. 26 charging points and 28 parking bays for electric vehicles are being installed.

Cooperative e-bus project: The Canadian city of Brampton, Ontario will purchase up to 10 electric buses and four overhead EV charging stations as part of the Pan-Ontario Electric Bus Demonstration and Integration Trial. Battery swap at BAIC: 200 battery changing stations are to be set up in Beijing by Chinese manufacturer BAIC this year. They mainly serve electric cabs and join an existing bunch of 50 such swapping stations in China’s capital. The whole exchange takes less than three minutes.

Bosch electric scooter sharing update: As electrive.com already reported, the automotive supplier is bringing the new sharing scheme COUP to the German capital, which it now officially presented. It will feature 200 Gogoro scooters with exchangeable batteries – which COUP will charge itself.

Straddling bus becomes reality: A prototype of the Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) was officially presented in China. It literally drives above traffic and has room for 300 passengers. Testing will take place away from public roads in Qinhuangdao. The final version could have room for as many as 1.200 people.
