Oil company Eneos buys in to NEC’s charging network
Japan’s largest oil company Eneos (formerly Nippon Oil), is hooking on to the charging infrastructure business. They just acquired 4,600 AC chargers from electronics company NEC to operate at supermarkets, shopping malls and other facilities in Japan.

Ample expands automated battery swapping system (video)
Ample, the American start-up supported by Shell, among others, announced two partnerships in the past few days to deploy its technology for EV battery swapping in Japan and the USA. Ample supports fully automated modular battery exchanges and says it is working with various manufacturers.

Toyota launches fuel cell cooperation with Eneos
Toyota and the Japanese energy company Eneos have entered into a partnership to advance hydrogen mobility. The core of the cooperation is the expansion of Toyota’s future project Woven City into a hydrogen-based model city.
