Frank Weber joins BMW management board
BMW continues to restructure its Board of Management. As the carmaker announced, Klaus Fröhlich, member of the Board of Management responsible for Development, will not extend his contract and will leave the company at the end of June. Frank Weber will take over in July.
BMW CEO Harald Krüger to retire from board
BMW CEO Harald Krüger has informed the Supervisory Board that he will not be available for a second term of office. The actual renewal of the contract had recently become more and more questionable – likely also because of Krüger’s hesitation regarding electric mobility.
BMW manager to join E.ON supervisory board
Klaus Fröhlich, who is the BMW board member for development, is set to join the supervisory board of energy group E.On, but will remain in his position at BMW. If the move is approved it will be another sign of the sectors merging in terms of e-mobility.
