Germany looks to raising EV subsidies

The German Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer wants to boost electric car sales by raising the ‘Environmental Bonus’ for purely electric cars from currently 2000 to 4000 euros by 2020. The measure would only apply to small battery electric or fuel cell cars with a purchase price of no more than 30,000 euros.

Germany to extend tax incentives for plug-in cars

German Federal Finance Minister Olaf Scholz has announced a significant extension of tax incentives for electric cars and plug-in hybrids as company cars in Germany. The 0.5% rule came into force at the beginning of this year is expected to have an effect beyond 2021, the initial end date.
