Solaris has received a new order for 19 trolleybuses from the northern Italian city of La Spezia. The local operator ATC Esercizio, which has been using eight Solaris trolleybuses since 2013, has now ordered 14 Trollino with a length of 12 metres and five with a length of 18 metres.

Solaris continues to electrify its bus business in Romania. The city of Târgu Jiu at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains has ordered eleven trolleybuses. This is another order from Romania within a short space of time.

The Romanian city Ploiești has ordered 20 trolleybuses from Solaris. The vehicles are to be delivered in the next two years.

Solaris is to deliver further trolleybuses to Italy in 2020. The public transport operators SETA Modena and TEP Parma have placed orders for a total of 18 Solaris Trollino 12 buses. Eight of these will go to SETA Modena, the remaining ten to TEP Parma.

Solaris Bus & Coach has received its first order to supply electric tram buses to France. The Polish manufacturer will deliver a total of 22 Trollino buses to Saint-Étienne by 2022. The deal values 17 million euros and includes an option for two additional trolley buses.

Solaris signed a contract worth 30 million euros with the transit operator of Lithuania’s second largest city, Kaunas. UAB Kauno Autobusai ordered 85 trolleybuses and expects their delivery over the next 15 months.

The Polish city of Gdynia has signed an agreement with Solaris for the delivery of 30 trolleybuses, valued at 28 million dollars. The order includes 14 Trollino 12 buses with 58 kWh batteries and 16 articulated Trollino 18 buses with 87 kWh batteries.
