In Australia, Evie Networks has announced new public EV fast charging stations in 55 towns and communities throughout rural and regional Victoria. The 55 Tritium 50kW fast chargers are expected to be operational by mid-2023.

Australia’s Victoria state government has announced a new budget to buy electric cars for its fleet. The commitment includes purchasing 400 new vehicles and charging infrastructure over the next two years for about $15 million.

Victoria supports H2 transport infrastructure pilots
In the Australian state of Victoria, the government has backed studies and trials for the use of green hydrogen (made from renewables) for use in heavy transport. The funding of 7 million Australian dollars (4.43 million euros) should help support refuelling stations and the development of fuel cell electric buses among other things.
