Private racing team to build electric Lancia Delta Integrale
The Lancia Delta Integrale is returning as an electric car in the WRX World Rallycross Championship. The GCK team of French rallycross and stunt driver Guerlain Chicherit has had a Lancia Delta Evo-e developed in-house and plans to enter the car in the WRX in 2022.

FIA World Rallycross series postpones electric cars
The FIA World Rallycross Championship (WRX) says it is to postpone the switch to all-electric cars. The move was initially planned for 2020 but manufacturers have now been given time until 2021. They will have to confirm their commitment to the electric format until March, 29, 2019.

Electric rally car from Sweden based on Mitsubishi Mirage
Swedish MPart AB is working on a pure electric version of their rally racer based on a Mitsubishi Mirage. The Mirage R5e will feature two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear for a combined 250 kW. More details are to follow.

Tender: FIA searches a battery supplier for WRX
FIA has officially confirmed that the World Rallycross Championship (WRX) will switch to fully electric cars from 2020. They now released a tender calling on battery developers to supply their race-ready system to cover the entire seasons 2020 to 2023.

FIA’s electric rallycross series takes shape
Plans for a new electric series within the FIA World Rallycross Championship are progressing. According to “Motorsport.com”, nine manufacturers – among them VW, Peugeot and Audi – are involved into talks about kicking off such a series in 2020.
