Update BMW 7: The German carmaker released more details about its new 7-series, which will weigh about 200 kg less than its predecessor as it uses carbon, Autocar reports. Furthermore, it will indeed be offered as a plug-in hybrid right from the start, just as rumours had it.

Bugatti promises 1,500 hp for its new hybrid Veyron, set for 2016. It will also feature an updated version of the 8-litre V16 engine, which will go from 0 to 100 kph in 2.3 seconds and comes with a top speed of 460 kph – enough to blow the likes of Porsche or McLaren away.
