Sporting a 92.4 kWh battery pack, it is said to go 533 km and charge up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes at a 150 kW charging station. The all-wheel drive boasts 225 kW, allowing BUDD-e to go from 0-100 kph in about seven seconds. Moreover, it is Volkswagen’s first car based on the new MEB architecture.

Gogoro update: The company has sold 4,000th electric scooters and opened 125 battery swapping stations in Taiwan. Gogoro now looks to expand to Amsterdam this summer, and will then work on getting a foot in the door on the U.S. market. In countries without swapping stations, Gogoro offers a charger for its scooter.

Tax free EV: Indian state Maharashtra has scrapped taxes for electric vehicles, meaning they are not subject to value added tax (VAT), road tax or registration fees when bought in the state. At the moment, the Mahindra Reva e2o is the only electric car sold in Maharashtra.
