Faraday-FutureFaraday Future to build second facility: The electric carmaker has gotten the green light to set up its second factory in the city of Vallejo, California (we reported). The production site will be developed on an old Navy shipyard that has not been used since the late 90s. The details will be negotiated over the next six months.

Nissan powered by the sun: The carmaker commissioned a solar plant at its factory in Sunderland, UK, its largest production site in Europe and home to the Nissan Leaf. The 19,000 solar panels have a combined capacity of 4.75 MW. Together with ten wind turbines on site, it meets 7% of the battery plant’s energy needs.
