Eurabus to bet on BMZ batteries

The BMZ Group (Germany) and Eurabus have signed a long-term master agreement with a volume of 150m euros. The contract includes the supply of more than 1,000 battery systems for electric buses within the next two to three years.

Eurabus’ electric buses shall be powered by modular battery packs of up to 790 kWh and thus, reach up to 650 km on a single charge. BMZ’s li-ion batteries are said to feature an own management system, assuring that buses can still be operated even if the battery suffers a partly failure.
