Honda installs V2G charging in Germany

The town of Offenbach is now home to a showcase of vehicle-to-grid charging that Honda set up through its European R&D unit. EVTEC and The Mobility House are partners and help optimise energy management to maximise the use of solar power.

The project follows Honda’s Power Manager concept (we reported) and is a test of hardware that may soon enter people’s homes.

It is not the first time that Honda focuses on Frankfurt’s neighbour city Offenbach: In summer, the manufacturer put there a public 940 V charging station into operation.
