Volvo presented their first electric truck, the FL Electric, as an electrified garbage truck in Gothenburg, Sweden. Reports also indicate that Volvo will be presenting a 26 ton version in early May in Hamburg.

For now, Volvo channels are focusing on the 16 ton FL Electric truck, which was presented as an electric garbage truck at an event in Gothenburg. This is also due to the fact that the first two vehicles of the series will be delivered to the local garbage and recycling company Remova and the TGM shipping company.

The FL Electric will celebrate its premiere in May at the IFAT in Munich, before it will be completely released to serve urban logistics and community services. The serial sale and European-sales start are scheduled for next year, and technical details for the vehicle were released recently, as well.
