Copenhagen Pride Parade goes fully electric
The Copenhagen Pride Parade is switching completely to electric trucks this year. The colourful LGBTI+ festival, which takes place in August, will use 30 Volvo electric trucks, which will be temporarily withdrawn by logistics provider DFDS from its fleets in Denmark and Sweden.

Volvo’s electric truck orders are up 141 per cent
Volvo Trucks received 486 orders for electric trucks in the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 141 per cent compared to the same period last year. This number is expected to increase over the course of the year as the Swedish company looks to bring its electric trucks to even more countries.

Coke Canada Bottling launches EV truck fleet with Volvo

“Orchard of Europe” edges toward 100% electric transport
Volvo Trucks has delivered 15 refrigerated electric trucks to Grupo Primafrio. The trucks of type Volvo FH Electric will collect fruits and vegetables in the Spanish Murcia region, known as the Orchard of Europe. The Group says this transitions its regional operations to 100% electric.

Volvo Trucks expands HPC network with Pilot Company
In the USA, Volvo Group and the Pilot Company, the largest operator of truck stops in North America, have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a public charging network for electric trucks. Volvo Trucks launches heavy electric truck production
Volvo Trucks has started series production of its heavy-duty electric trucks. The electric versions of the FH, FM and FMX models, which have been available for order since May, are being mass-produced in Gothenburg, Sweden. Volvo will also launch production in Ghent, Belgium next year.
