Daimler, Traton & Volvo plan truck charging network

The three commercial vehicle manufacturers Daimler Truck, Traton and Volvo Group have signed a memorandum of understanding on the development and operation of a public high-performance charging network for battery-electric heavy-duty long-haul trucks and coaches in Europe.

Volvo Trucks reveals specs for the FH, FM and FMX

Volvo Trucks is now revealing the technical details of its three new all-electric truck models FH, FM and FMX, which are already available for purchase. Production of the new electric trucks will start in the second half of 2022, initially with tractor units. The chassis are then to follow at the beginning of 2023.

DFDS receives electric truck to supply Volvo factory

Northern European shipping and logistics company DFDS and Volvo Trucks are cooperating to electrify heavy truck transport. As a first step, DFDS will operate a fully electric truck to deliver parts to the Volvo truck factory near Gothenburg.

Volvo starts infrastructure cooperation with Greenlots

As part of the previously reported broader introduction of electric trucks in North America, Volvo Trucks will be cooperating with the charging infrastructure specialists Greenlots, as well as other partners including ABB, who will help set up charging infrastructure in warehouse facilities in southern California.
