Alauda secures funding for VTOL racing

The aerial racing series with electric aircraft planned by the Australian company Alauda has cleared an important hurdle with the conclusion of its first round of financing.

After presenting prototypes last year, Alauda has now raised a seven-figure sum from investors including Saltwater Capital, Jelix, Equals and DHL. While the flying car racing series was initially set to launch this year with five teams and ten pilots, it may be affected due to the corona crisis. It looks good for Alauda to be able to launch without much issue once the crisis has passed, though.
