Lime recently took over Uber’s electric bike and scooter business under the Jump brand. It was now revealed that thousands of the red Jump pedelecs are being scrapped.

Lawrence Leuschner, CEO of Tier Mobility, offered to take over as many of the electric bikes as possible. Apparently Tier Mobility had already offered this three weeks ago, when it had become clear that Lime is mainly interested in the electric scooters from the take-over.
