The Spanish manufacturer Irizar has received another large electric bus order from Bulgaria. It comes from the city of Stara Zagora and includes 33 electric 12-metre Irizar ie buses.

Irizar e-Mobility does not provide details on the ordered battery configuration in the announcement. According to the data sheet of the 12-metre long solo buses, batteries of up to 350 kWh can be installed, and various charging options from 100 kW to 450 kW at a pantograph are also possible. The drive has a maximum output of 180 kW.

The solo bus has three doors, 26 seats and a wheelchair area. Including the standing room, a maximum of 77 passengers can be carried. The glazed side walls are intended to create a brighter and friendlier interior, and there are also USB charging points for passengers’ mobile devices.

For Irizar, this is the second-largest electric bus order from Bulgaria, after the public transport operator Burgas Bus ordered 44 vehicles and chargers in March this year. Unlike the Burgas Bus order, the Stara Zagora order does not include chargers, according to the statement.
