There is another recall for the Mercedes-Benz EQS – albeit only in the USA and only for 24 units of the electric luxury sedan. Incorrectly screwed ground connections could lead to increased electrical resistance, which in combination with high electrical currents increases the risk of fire.
Earlier this year, the EQS was already part of a recall due to faulty charging cables. Fortunately, this time the recall is more easily manageable, as “as dealership technicians will check the connections and tighten them if necessary” and the total number of vehicles affected is rather small.
