Lotus and Hedin Mobility announce distribution partnership

Lotus will distribute its all-electric Eletre in Sweden and the Netherlands through Hedin Mobility Group. The two companies have now entered into a partnership to this effect.

The agreement covers the sale of Lotus vehicles and related aftermarket services. In Sweden, Hedin Bil will represent the Lotus brand in Gothenburg, while in the Netherlands Hedin Automotive will act as the brand’s official representative in Amstelveen, Veghel and soon in the Rotterdam region.

“With Hedin Mobility Group we have found an established and professional dealer partner that will further strengthen our existing distribution network in both Sweden and the Netherlands,” says Niels de Gruijter, Executive Director Lotus Cars Europe. “We are delighted that Hedin Mobility Group will be joining us on this adventurous journey that we are now embarking on with the launch of the new Lotus Eletre.”

The Lotus Eletre is already available for order online and, starting this month, the electric model will be in Hedin showrooms in Sweden and the Netherlands. Deliveries to customers are scheduled to begin in July.

In the UK, the electric SUV is available from £89,500, although the two higher and in some cases more powerful variants are significantly more expensive. The Eletre S starts at around £104,500.

Both variants are equipped with a 450 kW drive. The base model also has a 112-kWh battery that allows a range of 600 kilometres. At a suitably powerful fast-charging station, the Eletre should be able to charge its battery from ten to 80 per cent in 20 minutes.

The electric vehicle has been available in China since the end of March. Hedin Mobility Group is responsible for the distribution of BYD vehicles on the German market, among other things.
