Zeekr expands to Norway
The has already launched in the Netherlands and Sweden, while the German launch is still a long way off, despite an announcement in 2023 that it would start in early 2024. Zeekr is opening a curated dealer network to sell its electric cars, starting with Premium Cars Stor-Oslo in October, followed by dealers in other major cities in due course. These will be complemented by a network of authorised service centres and workshops.
As in the Netherlands and Sweden, for Norway Zeekr will launch the Zeekr 001 Shooting Brake and the Zeekr X compact SUV as in the Netherlands and Sweden. The latter is based on the same platform as the EX30 from sister brand Volvo. The Zeekr 001 offers a WLTP range of up to 620 km and costs from 579,900 kroner (around 49,000 euros) in Norway. The Zeekr X achieves a WLTP range of up to 446 km and starts at 424,900 kroner (around 36,000 euros).
“We’re delighted to be launching our brand in Norway. This is a very important market for us, and our top-notch electric vehicles will be matched to a first-class customer experience, delivered through our new retailer network – a first for Zeekr in Europe,” said Zeekr Europe Chief Commercial Officer Lothar Schupet. “Norway is one of the most advanced EV markets in the world, and I can’t wait to see our first EVs on the road here before the end of this year.”
The Zeekr vehicles in Norway come with a vehicle warranty of 5 years/100,000 km, which can be extended to a further 5 years/100,000 km if the recommended service and maintenance schedule is followed at Zeekr dealers or Zeekr-authorised service centres and workshops.
Zeekr cooperates with Plugsurfing to charge the vehicles. It allows customers to access more than 800,000 charging points throughout Europe using the Zeekr Charge app and an RFID charging card. The app displays charging stations in the vicinity, can be used to start and end the charging process and manages billing and receipts.
