Spanish logistics company receives 22 Fuso eCanter
According to Daimler Truck, the Spaniards opted for one of the largest variants of the eCanter. The electric trucks delivered have a gross vehicle weight of 8.55 tonnes and a wheelbase of 4.45 metres. In terms of weight, Planway Logística has thus chosen the highest of the five weight classes (3.5 to 8.55 tonnes), and there is even a larger option for the six wheelbases (2.50 to 4.75 metres).
The logistics company ordered the L battery pack, which consists of three modules of 41.3 kWh each – only one module can be ordered for the smallest eCanters and two for the medium-sized variants. Only the largest versions with the L battery pack have a range of up to 200 kilometres, while the other two battery versions have a range of 80 and 140 kilometres, respectively. It allows customers to choose the version that best suits their needs. The output of the eCanter with the large battery is 129 kW.
Incidentally, the 22 electric trucks do not have to be transported far: Orense is located in the north-west of Spain, not far from the border with Portugal. And the Fuse eCanter for Europe is built in Tramagal, Portugal. You can read more details about the Fuso eCanter here.
“The fact that Planway Logistika, another major logistics company, has opted for the Next Generation eCanter shows once again that the all-electric light-duty truck is ideal for inner-city distribution traffic.”, summarizes Florian Schulz, Head of Sales, Marketing & Customer Services FUSO Europe. “By ordering 22 units, the customer is also underlining his commitment to electrify his last-mile transports. The eCanter’s charging flexibility as well as its comparatively high payload and the load volume of 15 euro-pallets makes this transition quite easy.”
