Fuso commences production of Next-Gen eCanter in Europe
Fuso, a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks, has begun production of the new eCanter in Europe. The latest generation of fully electric light trucks, unveiled in September 2022, is now being manufactured at the production plant in Tramagal, Portugal.

USA: Daimler Truck launches new electric truck brand Rizon
Daimler Truck announced a new brand for medium-duty electric trucks in the US called Rizon. Production start and first deliveries are scheduled for later this year. The company also announced a new joint venture for setting up charging and H2 fuelling stations for medium- and heavy-duty trucks in the country.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks presented a range of new applications for the battery-electric eActros currently on display in Hanover. Presentations included using the eActros as a semitrailer tractor and an electric auxiliary drive solution, for example for skip and roll-off tippers.

Fuso presents new generation of eCanter light truck
Daimler Truck subsidiary Fuso is unveiling the Next Generation eCanter. The light truck will be offered in weight classes from 4.25 to 8.55 tons, in addition to the currently available 7.5 tons. The new eCanter will debut in Japan.

Dachser launches electric trucks in Munich’s inner city
The logistics provider Dachser is deploying 7.5-tonne electric trucks in Munich starting this month. In the first step, a Fuso eCanter will start its service in the postcode area 80539. Two more vehicles of this type are expected to be added in early 2023.

Australia Post orders 20 Fuso eCanter delivery BEVs
Australia Post continues to green its fleets with the addition of 20 Fuso eCanter trucks. The mail service expects the vans to hit the road in October and says it is among the first clients. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) launched the eCanter in Australia in April.

DB Schenker grows Fuso eCanter fleet
Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Schenker has been testing the Fuso eCanter, a small electric truck since 2018. Two units are in operation in Berlin, three more in Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Paris. But testing is not the end of the story.

London & Regensburg home to new electric trucks
Electric trucks are becoming a reality as two real-life trials progress in the UK and Germany. At Infineon’s Regensburg site, a purely electric truck now made it into regular operation after two weeks of successful testing. Daimler has also delivered another Fuso eCanter in London – for a special purpose.

Daimler delivers EVs in Germany and Dublin
The transport company SWEG, headquartered in Lahr in the Black Forest in Germany, will bring the first Mercedes-Benz eCitaro REX from series production to the road. Daimler announced that two new Fuso eCanter that have gone into mail-delivery operation in Dublin.

Daimler delivers first Fuso eCanter to UK customers
Daimler Trucks has now delivered the first fully-electric Fuso eCanter to customers in the United Kingdom. The courier service DPD, the logistics company Wincanton and the bakery supplier Hovis were the first to receive some of the total of 9 trucks for their fleets.

Fuso Canter E-Cell passes test.
A total of 51,500 kilometres were driven in eight Fuso Canter E-Cell during testing in Portugal. The trial began in mid-2014 and resulted in operating costs dropping 64 percent. The trucks ran for as many as 109 km on one charge.
