Initially, Odysse Electric is offering the battery-swapping service for the Snap in four metro cities: New Delhi in the north, Mumbai (Maharashtra) in the west, and Hyderabad (Telangana) and Bengaluru (Karnataka). The company is eyeing more cities for a later phase but has yet to reveal the locations and timelines of its expansion plan.

Instead of the regular price of 79,999 rupees (793 euros), Odysse Electric offers the Snap without battery included in the purchase for 49,999 rupees (496 euros), both excluding registration and insurance costs. The company offers two monthly plans for battery subscription as per the maximum usage: 999 rupees (10 euros) for 25 kWh and 2,499 rupees (25 euros) for 75 kWh. The low upfront retail price and battery subscription should make the Snap much more accessible for
riders on a tight budget, including personal mobility customers and delivery professionals.

Odysse Electric has partnered with Indofast Energy, a joint venture of Indian Oil, India’s leading oil refiner, and Sun Mobility, a domestic renewable energy equipment manufacturer. It is utilising this collaboration to integrate Sun Mobility’s battery-swapping technology into the Snap. Interestingly, Sun Mobility is a joint venture between Sun Group and the company behind India’s first electric car, the REVAi – Maini Group.

“By combining our rider-focused design with Sun Mobility’s battery-swapping platform, we’re breaking down critical barriers to EV adoption in India—making electric mobility more affordable, practical, and future-ready,” Odysse Electric CEO Nemin Vora said on the announcement of the new battery-swapping service for the Snap.

The Snap is a low-cost electric scooter featuring an IP 67-rated, hub-mounted electric motor that produces 2 kW and gives it a top speed of 55 kph. Odysse Electric says customers can swap the Snap’s battery in less than two minutes and ride it up to 100 km.
