According to Daimler Truck, all vehicles are equipped with a box body featuring a tail lift. Two versions of the truck were delivered, including the 7.49-ton trucks (7C18e) and an 8.55-ton variant (9C18e). Both can be charged using either DC or AC charging stations. In terms of battery capacity, the trucks are fitted with either an M or L battery pack, enabling ranges of up to 140 km or 200 km per charge.

“Integrating 15 FUSO eCanter trucks into our fleet underscores our commitment to sustainable, competitive, and socially responsible logistics, which are the cornerstones of our vision for the future,” said Eduardo Alcázar, owner of Transportes Ocón.

Transportes Ocón just celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and currently operates a fleet of 1,120 vehicles and counts more than a thousand drivers among its staff. It specialises in providing comprehensive transport and logistics services for goods, including a division for temperature-controlled transport, as well as pallet distribution and delivery.

Fuso is currently undergoing some major corporate changes and will be fused with Hino Truck to make a new company, which will be called Archion and will launch next year in April. The decision was made back in May 2023. Under the new ownership arrangement, both brands will continue to operate as independent companies, however.

This is not the first delivery that Fuso is making in Spain, as late last year, Planway Logística, a logistics service provider based in Orense, Spain, added 22 Fuso eCanter to its fleet. Correos also operates a major electric motorbike fleet to complete its deliveries.
