Isuzu has brought the D-Max EV to the Thai market in a single, fully equipped trim and as a double-cab version, priced at 1.591 million baht (approximately 42,000 euros). Like in Europe, the company offers it in an AWD configuration with two motors, one at the front and one at the rear.

The front motor produces 43 kW and 108 Nm of torque, while the rear motor serves as the primary drive unit with 97 kW and 217 Nm of torque. This setup gives the D-Max EV 140 kW of system power and 325 Nm of system torque. A standard 66.9 kWh battery pack supplies energy to the two motors.

The battery pack supports charging at up to 11 kW via AC or up to 50 kW via DC, and charging it from 20 to 80 per cent via the latter takes 60 minutes. When fully charged, it delivers a range of 331 kilometres, as per the NEDC cycle.

The D-Max EV measures 5.3m in length, 1.87m in width, and 1.79m in height, with a 3.12m wheelbase. Its cargo bed is 1.49m long, 1.5m wide, and 4.9m tall. The electric pickup truck weighs 2,335 kg and offers a maximum payload capacity of one tonne, along with a maximum towing capacity of three and a half tonnes. While the ICE D-Max has a traditional leaf-spring rear suspension, the D-Max EV features a De Dion setup, aimed at improved handling.

Isuzu manufactures the D-Max EV at the Samrong plant in Samut Prakan for both domestic sales and exports. The company confirmed plans to launch the D-Max EV in the Philippines on the sidelines of the 2025 Japan Mobility Show in October and may be planning to introduce it there next.

The Japanese manufacturer first announced that it would bring the electric pickup to selected markets in Europe in 2024. It launched in the UK, the first European market, in July of last year, after series production kicked off in April 2025. At the time, Isuzu already announced that the D-Max EV would be made available in Norway, Australia, Thailand and other markets.

The D-MAX BEV is based on the combustion model D-MAX, which is now available in its third generation. Apart from a few blue elements at the front and the closed radiator grille, the electric version is also visually similar to the combustion model. Isuzu has designed the D-MAX as a ‘world car.’ It is sold in over 100 countries.
