Cork adds 76 new electric vehicles to fleet

The Irish city of Cork has put 76 electric vehicles into operation to replace internal combustion engines. Renault Kangoo Z.E., Nissan Leaf and Hyundai Kona are used by the city’s road and housing maintenance, park management and waste disposal staff.

Groningen to electrify city fleet

The Dutch municipality of Groningen plans to replace its 128 service vehicles with electric vehicles by 2025. The city will also install 74 smart-charging stations municipal buildings and is planning to build 350 more public charging stations in Groningen in the coming years.

London & Regensburg home to new electric trucks

Electric trucks are becoming a reality as two real-life trials progress in the UK and Germany. At Infineon’s Regensburg site, a purely electric truck now made it into regular operation after two weeks of successful testing. Daimler has also delivered another Fuso eCanter in London – for a special purpose.

Solaris reports 37 electric bus order from Poland

Solaris announced an electric bus order from Poznań, Poland: MPK Poznań has ordered 37 electric buses, which are to be delivered in the second half of 2021. The first 31 of them are 12-metre solo buses, the remaining six comes as articulated 18-metre buses.

Vestas to electrify company vehicles around the globe

Danish wind turbine builder Vestas has announced it will be replacing all new service vehicles with EVs by 2025. Pilots will be introduced in several markets throughout 2020. Aiways to send several hundred U5 to Corsica

Leipzig public transport goes electric

The Leipzig transport authority (LVB) has ordered their first electric buses for use in regular service and awarded the contract to the Dutch manufacturer VDL Bus & Coach. They are to supply 21 electric buses to Saxony by the end of this year.
