Sixt targets 90% share of low-emission vehicles by 2030

Rental car company Sixt is intent on decarbonisation. The Management Board approved a sustainability programme to increase the share of bookable electric and hybrid cars in Europe. By the end of 2030, up to 90 per cent of the rental fleet could be electric; however, not quite.

Ikea to use electric trucks from Volvo in Poland

Volvo Trucks, Ikea Industry, and logistics company Raben Group have agreed to cooperate in heavy-duty electric transport. Ikea Industry will use Volvo FM Electric trucks operated by Raben for internal goods transport between two production sites in western Poland.

4 Gen Logistics orders 41 VNR Electric

US Hybrid to deliver hybrid and electric street sweeper components

Ideanomics has announced plans for its subsidiary US Hybrid to Global Environmental Products with its proprietary electric and hybrid propulsion kits for use in the construction of 62 zero-emission street sweepers. Low-cost EV financing for Uber drivers through Moove

BHP mining truck fleet in Chile to be electric by 2023

Mining group BHP and construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar have signed an agreement to electrify BHP’s entire truck fleet at the Escondida copper mine in Chile. The first Caterpillar 798 AC electric dump trucks are to be delivered in the second half of 2023.
