Nissan approves first V2G charger in the USA

Working with Fermata Energy, a vehicle-to-grid services provider, Nissan has approved the first-ever bi-directional charger for the Nissan Leaf in the US. Fermata’s FE-15 charger has passed essential requirements from Nissan and is UL 9741 certified.

Ireland boosts the uptake of EVs with new measures

Ireland’s Department of Transport announced a suite of grants and initiatives to support greater adoption of electric vehicles. These include home charging initiatives, a register for smart chargers, as well as a commercial vehicle program for businesses and organisations to trial electric commercial vehicles.

Amsterdam stadium integrates bi-directional charging

As of today, visitors to the Johan Cruijff Arena (JCA) in Amsterdam can actively contribute to the power supply of the arena with their electric cars by integrating them into the stadium’s power grid. The first of 15 bidirectional charging stations in the JCA is now officially in operation.

NewMotion signs V2X agreement with Amsterdam

NewMotion has signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the EVS32 with the City of Amsterdam, and a number of other public and private companies to develop Vehicle-to-Anything (V2X) technology. The partners are planning the commercial introduction of V2X technologies in projects linking electric vehicles with energy systems in the Amsterdam area.
