ABB to charge driverless VDL fleet at Singapore port

ABB has received an order to supply and commission the charging infrastructure for a VDL fleet of autonomous electric logistics vehicles at the new Tuas Port in Singapore. Delivery is scheduled to take place between September 2020 and August 2022.

FRESH project: Hamburg testing AGVs as grid stabilisers

Hamburg’s port management company HHLA is currently testing the extent to which its electric automated guided vehicles (AGVs), used for transporting containers, can be flexibly integrated into the grid without affecting industrial operation. The effort is part of the FRESH funding project.

Kalmar planning to electrify entire fleet

The Cargotec brand Kalmar has announced their plan to offer electric versions of all their vehicle models by 2021. Kalmar produces industrial vehicles, such as forklifts and tractors for ports, airport terminals and logistics centres.
