Cellforce finalizes production process for electrode coating
The Cellforce Group, the joint venture between Porsche and Customcells, says it has successfully set up the series production process for coating its electrodes over the past twelve months. In the process, Cellforce has relied on close cooperation with the machinery and plant manufacturer Dürr.
Trumpf & Cellforce announce strategic partnership
The battery cell joint venture between Porsche and Customcells, Cellforce, has entered into a strategic partnership with the machine manufacturer Trumpf from Baden-Württemberg. As part of the cooperation, high-precision laser technology from Trumpf will be used in battery cell production.

The location has now been chosen for the German battery cell factory planned for Cellforce Group, the battery joint venture between Porsche and Customcells. The industrial park lies across the districts of Reutlingen-Nord/Kirchentellinsfurt in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg.
BASF selected as cell development partner by Cellforce
Cellforce, the new battery joint venture between Porsche and Customcells, officially appointed BASF as its exclusive cell development partner. BASF is to provide NCM cathode materials for high-performance battery cells. In addition, BASF will recycle the production waste from cell manufacturing.
Porsche considers battery plant in Germany
Porsche wants to build its own battery cell factory for the production of “high-performance batteries” in Tübingen, Germany. Although the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer plans to purchase batteries for its electric cars from parent company Volkswagen in the future, high-performance cells – that is “a Porsche domain”.
Porsche battery cell JV Cellforce Group awaits approval
The planned battery cell joint venture between Porsche and Fraunhofer spin-off Customcells becomes more concrete. The German antitrust authority (Bundeskartellamt) is looking into the Cellforce Group with reports suggesting that P3 will be the third partner in the new company.
