FTP Industrial opens new electric drive plant
FPT Industrial, the powertrain brand of Iveco parent Iveco, has opened a new electric drive factory in Turin, Italy. At full capacity, it will employ about 200 people to produce more than 20,000 electric axles and battery packs per year.

Nikola & Iveco start testing e-trucks in the Port of Hamburg
In Germany, in the Port of Hamburg, a demonstration phase has begun with the first three Nikola BEV tractor units in Europe. In the second phase of the project, the full integration of the BEV vehicles into port operations and the installation of the charging infrastructure will take place in 2023.

Major truck makers pledge to go zero-emission by 2040

Nikola Tre to build electric trucks at Iveco in Germany
Iveco-owner CNH Industrial and Nikola Motor will build the Nikola Tre in battery-electric and fuel cell version at the Iveco plant in Ulm, Germany. The first e-trucks to go into production from 2021 are the battery-electric 4×2 and 6×2 vehicles. The fuel cell version is planned for 2023.

H2Haul for fuel cell trucks starts in Europe

Iveco owner CNH invests in Nikola
CNH Industrial joins Nikola, the US startup specialising in fuel cell and battery-electric trucks, with 250 million dollars. The investment is part of a new round of financing in which Nikola intends to generate more than a billion dollars in capital.
