BorgWarner acquires Swiss engineering firm DriveTek
The US automotive supplier BorgWarner has acquired DriveTek AG as of 1 December 2022. The Swiss company offers engineering and product development services for inverters, electric drive solutions, and power electronics. The transaction is worth CHF 35 million.

UK: Ford is building up Power Unit plant in Halewood

Posco International will manufacture EV motor cores in Mexico
Posco International has begun construction of an EV components plant in Ramos Arizpe, northeastern Mexico, and says this will be its first factory in North America. The subsidiary of the South Korean steel company expects to complete construction early next year and will focus on motor cores.

German ZF to invest €85M in Serbia to make EV parts
Germany’s ZF Group has stated its intent to invest 85 million euros to built an electric vehicle component factory in Pancevo, in northern Serbia. The project will be scaled up in stages from 2019 and ultimately employ up to a 1,000 people.
