Volvo Group invests in Connected Energy
British company Connected Energy, which builds stationary energy storage systems based on retired electric vehicle batteries, has raised £15 million from five new investors – including Swedish commercial vehicle group Volvo Group.

Connected Energy to give old Forsee batteries a 2nd Life
The French battery manufacturer Forsee Power is cooperating with Connected Energy, a company that builds stationary energy storage systems based on spent electric vehicle batteries. The aim is to recycle Forsee batteries after they have been used in electric buses.

Renault presents two second-life battery projects
Renault is putting two new projects for the second-life use of batteries from electric vehicles in the spotlight. Both ‘Advanced Battery Storage’ in France and ‘SmartHubs’ in the UK are aimed at helping to balance power grids as the share of renewable energy increases.

E-STOR adapted to work with JLR batteries
The British company Connected Energy has adapted their energy storage system E-STOR to work with old EV batteries from the Jaguar I-Pace, as well as other water-cooled batteries from EVs by JLR.
