The Turkish bus manufacturer Karsan and the transport authority Kolumbus in Norway have reached the next level in highly automated driving in public transport. An e-Atak bus is running in regular service with Level 4 autonomy on public roads in the Norwegian city of Stavanger.

Turkish electric bus manufacturer Karsan has booked further orders from Romania and Italy. A total of 16 e-buses are to be delivered to the Romanian city of Focsani and 42 units to Italian operations.

Karsan is racking up electric bus orders in Romania as they receive another order for 26 electric buses. The city of Deva expects 22 e-Jest minibuses from the Turkish manufacturer and four electric buses of type e-Atak from mid-2022. Karsan’s sales of electric buses in Romania now stand at 158 units.
